Waves (WAVES) Releases Browser Game Inspired by ‘The Fifth Element’

Waves (WAVES), a blockchain platform centered around a multi-currency wallet that features a decentralized exchange (DEX), revealed its new browser-based game this week.

The simple blockchain game, called Fholston Paradise, is inspired by the cult classic film The Fifth Element and allows players to earn WAVES by competing in a countdown game of patience. In the game, players transfer 1.1 WAVES to the smart contract and hope that they were the last to submit the tokens before the countdown runs out, as only one player wins the final payout.

“To win, the counter must reach zero ‚ÄĒ with the last address to enter becoming the winner. If someone else sends a transaction and updates the counter, the previous player is eliminated. The wait duration for the counter is 60 blocks, which is approximately 60 minutes, though can be shorter or longer,” reads the announcement.

To play, users will need the following:

  1. Desktop operating system (Windows, MacOs, Linux).
  2. The latest version of Google Chrome or Firefox.
  3. Waves Keeper installed (Chrome, FireFox).
  4. A minimum balance of 1.2 WAVES ($3.49)

This is the second game to launch through Waves’ partnership with¬†Tradisys. The pair¬†previously released a¬†Christmas-themed game¬†that was designed to demonstrate the utility of Waves smart contracts in gaming.

WAVES is currently down 8.7% over the last 24 hours to $2.90, giving it a $290.4 million market cap and making it the 20th largest coin in the AltDex 100 Index (ALT100), a benchmark index for large-cap cryptocurrencies and tokens.
