Stratis Announces Alpha Release of Enterprise Smart Contracts Built Entirely in C#

Stratis, a project building a blockchain for enterprise and financial services, announced the alpha release of its new smart contracts built in C# platform today. Smart Contracts in C# intends to be the easiest-to-learn for developers, businesses and other organizations.

According to the announcement, Stratis has engineered the first smart contracts built entirely in C# on the .NET framework. This combination lowers the barrier of enterprise adoption of the blockchain, as it easily integrates into existing architectures.  Additionally, Stratis has indicated it will provide support for the functional programming language F#, a favorite in the finance sector.

When speaking about the alpha launch, Stratis CEO Chris Trew shared his vision on the potential impact of the more inclusive programming languages.

We believe smart contracts are one of the backbones of blockchain as a transparent, decentralized marketplace, and that the more inviting you can be to get people to join that marketplace, the faster blockchain will be adopted. Our foundation in C# and .NET programming broadens the world of smart contracts immediately, and we look forward to seeing what people do with it.

This news comes just days after Stratis unveiled its zero-fee platform for launching ICOs. This platform is reportedly feature rich and enables users to quickly deploy an ICO via a ‘Deploy to Azure’ button.
