LINE Will Pay You to Trade TRON (TRX) on BITBOX

Japanese tech giant LINE¬†(LN) recently launched its new cryptocurrency, LINK (LN), for exclusive trading on the company’s own exchange, BITBOX.

As part of the launch, LINE is currently paying out a 1% bonus on all trades of TRON (TRX) in the form of LN, with a max bonus capped at 20 LN, roughly worth $85.

According to the announcement, LINK’s trading has gone live with initial trading pairs, including Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH) and Tether (USDT).

“We’re very pleased that users are now able to trade LINK on BITBOX, which is a major step forward in our plans for creating a token economy that rewards user participation. We think it is important to promote co-creation and mutual growth with LINK, while ensuring BITBOX continues to develop as a user-friendly platform that adds value to those who use it and contribute to our services,” said¬†LINE CEO Takeshi Idezawa.

Going forward, LINK will be used in decentralized applications (dApps) built on the¬†LINK blockchain, which is designed to interact with LINE’s established messaging platform and had its genesis block mined on August 23. These¬†dApps will focus on a number of different categories, including product reviews, food and locations and prediction platforms.

LINE originally listed TRON on BITBOX in August, where it conducted a 9 million TRX promotional airdrop event. TRX currently has a $1.61 billion market cap, making it the 10th largest coin in the AltDex 100 Cryptocurrency Index (ALT100).

BITBOX is unavailable to residents of the US and Japan.
