Jack Dorsey, the CEO of Twitter, has long been one of the most vocal supporters of Bitcoin (BTC) from the traditional tech world.

This support was taken to new heights on Tuesday when Dorsey participated in the ongoing Lightning Network Trust Chain, a community-driven initiative started by hodlonaut to build awareness around the Lightning Network and help expand its capacity.

With the Trust Chain, participants send marginally more BTC to one another indefinitely, or until the value increases to the point that one unscrupulous individual decides to keep the funds — this already happened once and two users had to refund the chain.

For Dorsey, the amount sent was 2,860,000 Satoshis, or roughly $98.

Transaction Confirmation

This news comes several days after Dorsey sat down with the Joe Rogan where he talked about the future of digital currencies, stating that he still believes that Bitcoin could become the currency of the internet.

Dorsey ended up passing the torch to Elizabeth Stark, co-founder of Lightning Labs. Interestingly, Dorsey also revealed that he is currently only holding Bitcoin.
