FreeBitco.in, likely the world’s largest Bitcoin (BTC) faucet with 18.7 million registered users, recently added betting to its list of features, allowing users to wager their Bitcoin on a variety of events. The new functionality comes just in time for users to bet on who will sit on the Iron Throne and rule Westeros at the end of Game of Thrones season 8.

Apart from GoT, the betting system includes a number of sporting events and Bitcoin price predictions for certain dates. For each betting pool, the possible outcomes have odds based on the amount wagered thus far. The total prize pool for Game of Thrones currently stands at roughly 1.5224 BTC ($8,140) with Jon Snow receiving 45% of the action (30,283 bets).

The GoT pool runs for the next 26 days, as all bets are stopped before the final episode of the season. Interestingly, each event includes a time-weight multiplier that decreases over time, incentivizing early bets with a larger share of the final pool.

“In case there is no winner, or somebody other than the characters listed wins the Iron Throne, ‘Unknown’ will win the bet,” states the FreeBitcoin team. “If more than one person shares the Iron Throne, the prize money will be divided equally between users betting on the winning outcomes.”
