According to the announcement, Blockfolio raised the additional capital to expand its platform ecosystem, which now boasts millions of users and 300+ blockchain teams via its new ‘Signal’ functionality.
“Our Series A financing will help us leverage our unparalleled reach to continue innovating as a global leader in the space. Most importantly, this investment empowers us to follow our belief that quality data and information should be easily accessible and that Blockfolio should be fully free to use for all,” states the Blockfolio team in the announcement.
This financing round comes as Blockfolio faces increasing competition from apps like Delta, a leading crypto portfolio app available both for desktop and mobile devices, which recently released “Delta Direct,” a new feature similar to ‘Signal’ that allows cryptocurrency projects directly communicate with Delta’s more than 1 million users.
Blockfolio has now raised nearly $15 million in total funding and welcomed a number of new major investors in the latest round, including Bitmex and Huobi.
