Crypto Exchange Bittrex Adds USD Pairs for XRP and Ethereum Classic (ETC)
Bittrex, the thirty-sixth largest crypto exchange by trading volume, announced this week that it is rolling out US Dollar trading pairs for Ripple’s XRP and Ethereum Classic (ETC) for eligible personal and corporate accounts.
Today, we’re adding XRP and ETC to our USD (Fiat) markets in addition to previously announced USD pairs for Bitcoin (BTC), Tether (USDT), TrueUSD (TUSD) and Ethereum (ETH). Details: https://t.co/VEZA7L3rb6 pic.twitter.com/bDdFRP2FFQ

This news comes approximately two months after Bittrex first announced that it would be adding fiat trading for bitcoin (BTC), Tether (USDT) and TrueUSD (TUSD). These trading pairs were initially rolled out for corporate customers in New York, Washington, California, and Montana. This was quickly expanded to include Ethereum (ETH) in June and was offered to personal trading accounts in July.
This week, the exchange has added personal account-supported fiat pairs for XRP and ETC, two of the more popular cryptocurrencies on the market. This marks the second major fiat trading pair listing for ETC, which was recently added across Coinbase’s many trading products. As for XRP, fiat trading pairs have been a hot topic of discussion in recent months, with much of the focus put towards convincing Binance, the world’s most popular crypto exchange, to add fiat-XRP options to its platform.
Both corporate and personal investors outside of the United States or in California, New York, New Mexico, Montana, Arizona, and Washington State are now eligible to participate on Bittrex. Additionally, corporate investors in Pennsylvania may begin investing with the new trading pairs.
