Coinbase Wallet Releases Update to Improve Access to ERC-20 Tokens

San Francisco-based Coinbase has announced a new update to the Coinbase Wallet, its Ethereum-based wallet, to improve its functionality and allow users to better store and access their ERC-20 tokens.

According to the announcement, users will no longer have to manually add tokens to their portfolios. Instead, the entire process is now automated and displays in the local fiat currency of choice for better value tracking.

In addition, to improve ERC-20 functionality, Coinbase has added a new gallery for crypto collectibles and integrated with marketplaces OpenSea and RareBits to support hundreds of different collectibles

Coinbase also notes that it has made a number of technical changes to the app for improved stability, security and better gas price estimation.

Back in August, the company made the decision to rebrand the wallet from Toshi to Coinbase Wallet, in an effort to unify its brand and provide end-to-end cryptocurrency solutions for both retail and institutional investors.
