Atlus dropped the first teaser for¬†Persona 5 R¬†—¬†ostensibly a new version of the critically-acclaimed¬†Persona 5¬†— on Sunday but the details provided in the 30-second trailer leave much to be desired.

Instead of revealing anything related to gameplay or storyline, the new teaser seems to simply be an announcement of an upcoming announcement, with more information to be revealed in March.

The Reddit community was less than impressed with the video, despite the teaser gaining significant upvotes across gaming subreddits.

“The very least they could do is tell us what it even is. I want to play the game again but I was waiting for this announcement, if it’s an add-on or new release with more stuff, I don’t want to play the game again. But we have to wait 3 months to even find anything out, and then how long for it to release?” one Reddit user said. “Announcements of announcements are not announcements. I hate that Japanese companies do this so often.”

Other Redditors pointed out the release of the teaser could be the result of the game’s domain registration leaking prior to the developers being ready to share real info on the upcoming title.

Persona 5 was very well-received when it was released in March of 2017, with many reviewers giving the game high marks.

“Within Persona 5 is a complex set of interconnected gameplay mechanics, and in almost every aspect Atlus has executed on its vision exceptionally, barring the pacing issues towards the end,” GameSpot’s Lucy James¬†said after awarding the game a 9/10.

The game itself takes place in modern-day Tokyo and follows a protagonist codenamed Joker. The game incorporates role-playing and dungeon crawling elements.
